Fans panic as Kenya's football icon wipes his entire account. What does it mean?

Fans are in absolute panic mode after Kenya's top football striker wiped his entire Instagram account clean overnight, deleting thousands of photos, unfollowing everyone — including his club's official account — and replacing his bio with just an emoji.

The Digital Disappearing Act

The move comes just three days before a critical Champions League Africa Cup qualifier that could determine his club's pathway to international competition. The timing has sparked wild speculation about a potential transfer, team conflict, or personal crisis.

Club officials held an emergency meeting Wednesday morning to assess the situation. According to sources inside the organization, the player gave no warning and has not responded to multiple calls from management.

"He's always been professional, always been reliable. This is completely out of character. We're genuinely concerned about what's happening in his personal life," said one club insider who requested anonymity.

Multiple sources confirm that agents from three Premier League clubs were spotted in Nairobi just last week, fueling transfer speculation. The player is under contract until 2027, but rumors suggest his club might be open to negotiations if a Ksh 150 million+ offer comes in.

His agent released a brief statement saying: "Our client is taking some personal time to reflect. He will address the public when he's ready. We ask for privacy during this period."

The striker's previous eight posts on Instagram (before deletion) showed him attending matches, training sessions, and promotional events with no hint of distress or conflict.
